Hi. I’m Josh and I’m a creative based in Revelstoke, BC, Canada.
I began studying a Bachelor of Film and Screen Production at Griffith Film School, Brisbane, Australia in 2016. Not quite knowing which discipline I wanted to double down on, I spent my first and second years trying out everything, from directing, producing, editing, sound designing, camera operating, production designing to visual effects.
In 2017 I began a videography business based in south-east Queensland called Raincoat Productions.
Me and the other members of Raincoat Productions began to work on different projects, building a vast portfolio. We delved in short films with the 48 Hour Film Challenge (2017), produced social media content for various businesses.
In 2017 I was the editor and sound designer for a Drama Production called "Cloudy with a Chance of Rain" and went on to win multiple awards.
From 2017 I began creating content on YouTube on my personal channel. I then began my biggest project yet for my graduate film at Griffith University, writing and directing a black mirror-esque short film CTRL ALT DEL which went on to win multiple awards.
At the end of 2018 I had the opportunity to participate in the SCIENCE FILM SPRINT at World Congress of Science and Factual Producers ’18, in partnership with LiveLab at the Griffith Film School, where I was one of five factual filmmakers that were paired with five leading scientists to produce a creative short science film in 72 hours. The completed films screened on the final day of Congress in front of a public audience and my film, Do Flies Dream? was the winning film selected by the jury.
After graduating in 2018, I began working as a Videographer / Video Editor for Griffith University. From 2020 I was also working for LJ Hooker Property Hub and Coast & Country Financial Services, making social media content.
Throughout this time my freelance business continued to grow, working with different clients and on different projects, from real estate videography, kickstarter projects, to weddings and e-commerce.
in 2021 I moved to Revelstoke for the winter season. Like many I planned to just stay for the season but stayed for the summer.
one season turned to 6 and I'm excited to call this beautiful mountain town home.
I'm excited to now offer photography, videography, content creation and video editing services remotely and in the north Okanagan region.
