hiking through the three capes track 2019
This was my first multi-day hike and being the epic landscape of Tasmania- I really wanted to do something special for this video. Usually with these videos you'd see my friends candidly walking past camera and struggling up mountains, but this time it's me! I hauled my tripod along with my 15kg backpack and to get most of the shots I had to set the tripod and the shot, walk away from the camera candidly, and then run back to the camera to get the shot.
SUMMER HIKE TO CRADLE MOUNTAIN SUMMIT 2019
We were lucky enough to get snowfall the night before, which made it quite hard to attempt the summit. We started at Ronny Creek- which happens to be the start of the Overland Track- and made our way through Rain-forests, overflowing rivers and Crater Lake to the top of Marions Lookout which gave an uninterrupted view of Cradle Mountain (minus the cloud cover / snow). We then went through the snowy and wet Cradle Plateau to the historic kitchen hut, and then up attempting the Cradle Mountain Summit Track On our way back we went via Marions lookout to Dove Lake where we finished- quite soggy and wet. Very keen to come back and try the Overland Track and explore more of Tassie.
